How to Get to Heaven
There is a common misconception that all religions lead to Heaven. In life, all roads do not lead to the same
destination. So it is with Heaven. There is only one road that will take you to Heaven. That road is found in the
Bible. Consider these things...
- You are a sinner. "All have sinned and come short of
the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). The Bible clearly states
that everyone is a sinner. Sin is disobedience to God,
such as murder, stealing, cursing, lying, cheating, hating,
pride, rebellion...
- The penalty for sin is spiritual death. "The
wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23a) God is holy and,
therefore, cannot fellowship with sinful mankind. Thus,
it is our sin that separates us from God for eternity.
- Jesus Christ paid the sin debt for the entire
world on the cross. "Christ died for our sins"
(1 Corinthians 15:3). Christ was the only one who
could pay for our sin and satisfy the demands of God.
- Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross is God’s
free gift to all mankind. "The gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23b).
- Jesus Christ is the only way to have
forgiveness from God. "I am the way, the truth, and
the life no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John
14:6) Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father.
- You must personally accept God’s free gift
of salvation. "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the
Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
A gift is not yours unless you accept it!
